THE MAKING
We approach clothing as objects to be lived with — shaped by material, people, and time. Our process is slower by design, allowing space for attention, refinement, and use.
HANDWOVEN FABRICS
Exclusively handwoven for Origin & Objects, each fabric is designed to carry pattern, texture, and depth — lending a quiet modernity to the garment without overpowering it.
Working with artisan clusters
We work closely with artisan clusters across India to custom develop handwoven fabrics in small batches.
These relationships are long-term and built on continuity. We return to the same hands, refine materials over time, and work within a pace shaped by people rather than scale.
Shaped through design and fit
Once the fabric is developed, each garment is designed and patterned in-house.
We allow material to guide the silhouette, balancing structure with ease. Fit is refined through movement and wear — through how a garment settles, shifts, and becomes familiar on the body.
Made in small batches
Our production is in small runs that match the pace of handweaving and handcrafting.
This allows us to experiment with ease and create something new and exciting in every batch. We are conscious of wardrobe continuity and add pieces that sit naturally alongside what has come before.
FROM ORIGIN TO OBJECT
The making at Origin & Objects is not linear, but layered.
